What influenced your journey in pursuing the Arts?
I have always been interested in Art and actually making it
Who and what inspires you?
Artists who have a vision however barmy or over ambitious. Like Gaudi for example. I do hope he can see his fabulous cathedral now, almost finished and breath-taking.
What is your medium of choice?
I like to work with clay. I found some clay in a stream when I was 8 and made an ashtray! Since then I have found it intriguing, but it is also frustratingly difficult at times and things often go wrong!
How would you describe your creative style?
Constantly changing
What does your art mean to you?
I can lose myself for hours or days. Usually it is relaxing but sometimes it can be very annoying and make me somewhat cross.
Do you have a fave piece of art and if so whom is it by, and why is it your fave?
I am not sure I have one favourite piece. I like any pieces that are beautiful and especially if they are tactile.
How would you describe the Arts in Aotearoa?
Varied. Extremely diverse because of the nature of the population which is global.
