You may remember actress Cian Elyse-White from 800 Words or even from her recent touring show to Northland, DeVine with RECollective Theatre Company. Cian Elyse-White won two script-writing awards at last weeks 8th annual SWANZ (script-writer awards New Zealand), one for Best New Writer and one for her debut play ‘Te Puhi’.
Also winning an award that night, was the WARU film collective of Directors, with Northland connections, Briar Grace Smith (Nga Puhi), who shared the award with her fellow Directors: Casey Kaa, Ainsley Gardiner, Katie Wolfe, Chelsea Cohen, Renae Maihi, Paula Jones, Josephine Stewart-Te Whiu
