Thelonious Punk

Bio information: Thelonious Punk is a Modern jazz collective of Northland musicians who over the last five years have released two Cd’s of standards from the music of Wayne Shorter , Charles Mingus , Miles and Monk. Actively gigging- we have played most local Festivals including Fritter 2014 , Honey Jam 2013 , Mangonui Waterfront 2012/ 2016 and the Kerikeri street party for five straight years.
Our ‘2016’ Ep is avalible on I Tunes, Spotify and Youtube , it contains four originals written by the band members. New originals are being filmed for Youtube with the help of Digimix from Paihia and feature the band playing at its resident gig at ‘Alongside’ restaurant in Paihia.
Other hi-lights have included regular gigs at the Butter Factory ,Funky Fish cafe and both the Dargaville and Paihia Jazz festivals.
