The Northland Society of Arts (NSA) host some amazing local talent at the historic heritage building of Reyburn House from around Northland with fresh exhibitions every three weeks. The NSA is a volunteer run charity organisation who are always looking for more community involvement.

The current exhibition is by Douglas Chowns who is revisiting his Celtic themed 1994 series on social realism.

The exhibition held its opening night on Douglas’ significant date of May 1st in which he performed a ‘rebirth’ of the paintings by slashing all the work.

An interesting artistic look at appalling atrocities that ordinary people are made to endure.
